7 days / 6 nights · Archaeology, villages, beaches, nature
The itinerary uses Limenas as a starting base and proceeds clockwise around the island, dedicating each day to a distinct area to reduce driving time. The first stops tell the story of the ancient world and the inland villages; the later ones alternate between bays, archaeological sites, and mountain scenery. A car is the most practical way to reach beaches and less-served areas, while in central Limenas it’s best to get around on foot. Beach visits are most enjoyable from June to September, but opening hours, services, and sea conditions are seasonal.

Wear shoes with sturdy soles on uneven stretches.
16:00
Acropolis of Thasos
Continue on foot toward the acropolis, allowing another 20–30 minutes of uphill walking and about an hour for the visit. The ruins and panoramic viewpoints make the effort worthwhile; the fee may be included in the site ticket or not required.
For the descent, head back before sunset and follow the marked trail.
Combine the traditional inland villages with the long beach on the eastern coast.
09:00
Panagia
From Limenas, reach Panagia in about 15–20 minutes by car; park on the edge of the center and explore the cobbled streets and traditional houses. Allow about 90 minutes, with an indicative breakfast costing 5–10 € per person.
