Colosseum
The Flavian Amphitheatre, built in the 1st century AD, was the great venue for spectacles in imperial Rome, from animal hunts to gladiatorial combat. Looking at it also means observing a building designed to handle an immense crowd, with tiers, arches, and access routes. Include it in the day devoted to the archaeological area, distinguishing the exterior view from the interior visit. Before booking, check which spaces are included in the chosen ticket: the arena, the underground levels, and other routes may have different arrangements.
