Getting around
The center of Stylida is easy to explore on foot, but to reach nearby beaches and towns it is useful to have a car. The city is connected to Lamia by road and by bus services, whose schedules can vary depending on the season. There is also a local rail connection with Lamia: check schedules and service in advance. For shorter trips, ask locally for taxi information.
When to go
Late spring and early autumn are pleasant times to visit Stylida, with generally mild temperatures and fewer crowds than in summer. From June to September the weather is hot and the sea is suitable for swimming, but it can get very hot in the middle of the day. In winter the weather is cooler and some seasonal activities may be limited.
Where to eat
For a casual meal, look for tavernas and local spots along the seafront or in the center, where you will often find fish, seafood, and Greek dishes. You can also try meze to share, salads, and specialties made with local ingredients.
