The itinerary begins in the heart of Skiathos, between the harbor and the Bourtzi peninsula, to get acquainted with the town without any strenuous travel. The second day is devoted to the southwest coast, with a long stop at Koukounaries and a detour to Mandraki Beach. The final day combines a boat trip to Lalaria, a visit to the ancient capital Kastro, and a few stops reachable by land: it is a full program, to be adapted to sea conditions and available connections. The times indicate a suggested visit; for transport, access, tours, and tickets, it is advisable to check the latest information on official websites or with local operators.

Getting your bearings in Skiathos Town and discovering its connection with the harbor and the sea.
10:00
Skiathos Town
Set aside about 3 hours for the center, exploring on foot between the harbor, the narrow lanes and the whitewashed houses of the historic districts. Take a break on the seafront and watch the flow of ferries and boats; for lunch, expect €15–30 per person at a taverna, depending on the place and your choices. Walks around the center are free.
The roads can be steep or cobbled: comfortable shoes and water are useful.
14:00
Bourtzi Peninsula
From the port, you can walk to the small peninsula in a few minutes and allow about 1–2 hours to wander the paths and take in both sides of the harbor. Look for the remains of the Venetian fortifications and the viewpoints over the sea; access to the outer area is generally free, while any events or cultural spaces may involve fees to check in advance. For a break, budget around €4–8 for a drink.
The afternoon is ideal for photographing the harbor in soft light; check on site for any cultural activities.
Enjoy Koukounaries Beach and spend the day taking in the coastal scenery without having to keep returning to town.
09:00
Koukounaries Beach
From the center, you can reach the area by local bus, taxi, or car; allow about 20–30 minutes for the transfer, depending on traffic and the season. Set aside 5–6 hours to swim, stroll along the beach, and admire the pine forest and the lagoon behind it; access to the beach is free, while sunbeds and an umbrella can cost around €15–30 for a set. Consider €12–25 for a simple lunch nearby.
Bring water and sunscreen; check the sea conditions and any return connections on site.
Visit the northern coast by boat and complete the route with the main historic and seaside spots listed.
07:30
Lalaria Beach (by boat)
Head to Skiathos Town port for a boat trip: the crossing to the northern coast can take about 45–75 minutes each way, depending on the vessel and the sea. Allow 2–3 hours in total for the stop, swimming, and admiring the arches and white rocks; tours with stops can cost around €25–50 per person. Lalaria is accessible by sea, and landing depends on the day’s conditions.
Book or confirm the excursion in advance and check with the operator the itinerary, duration, and whether disembarkation is possible.
13:30
Ancient capital Kastro
After returning to the port, continue to the Kastro promontory by taxi or car; allow about 30–45 minutes for the transfer plus extra time for the final stretch on foot, which can be rough. Set aside around 1–1.5 hours for the remains of the ancient settlement and the views over the coast: the exterior area usually has no ticket, but accessibility and facilities should be checked on site. A simple lunch break before or after the visit can cost around €12–25.
If it is very hot, windy, or the trails are slippery, shorten the walking route and bring water.
15:45
Mandraki Beach
To keep the order of the stops, reach Mandraki after Kastro: the land transfer takes approximately 30–45 minutes, followed by a walk of about 20–30 minutes from the access point, depending on the route chosen. Allow at least an hour for swimming or a stroll among the dunes and vegetation; access is free, while any snacks or beach services may add around €5–25.
Ask for updated information on the route and the trailhead; wear suitable shoes and do not rely on beach facilities.
17:45
Evangelistria Monastery
Continue inland by taxi or car, allowing about 25–35 minutes on the road, and reserve 45–60 minutes for the visit to the accessible areas and the complex. Admire the architecture, the mountain setting, and the traces of local religious history; any contribution or entrance fee may vary and should be checked with the monastery. For visit-related expenses, budget an indicative amount of €0–5 per person, without taking it for granted.
Check the visiting arrangements before departure and follow any guidance on dress and behavior.
19:15
Agia Paraskevi Beach
End the day on the southern coast, reachable from the monastery in about 25–35 minutes by land. Allow 1–1.5 hours for a walk or a swim if conditions allow; beach access is free, while a sunbed-and-umbrella set may cost roughly €15–30. For dinner nearby or back in town, budget about €18–35 per person.
This day requires well-coordinated transfers: consider a rental car or an agreed taxi and adjust the stops to the boat's actual timetable.
