Get your bearings in the center of Poros and delve into the island's history among panoramic views and artifacts.
10:00
Clock Tower (Roloi)
Reach the tower on foot from the harbor promenade, with a short but steep climb through the town's narrow streets; allow about 20–30 minutes for the walk up and the visit. From the tower area, there is a lovely view over the harbor and the stretch of sea between Poros and the Peloponnese; the outside walk is free.
Wear shoes with sturdy soles: some parts of the center are uphill and unevenly paved.
11:30
Archaeological Museum of Poros
Head down to Korizi Square and visit the archaeological collections, which help place the history of Poros and the Troizenia area in context; allow about 45–75 minutes. Any admission should be considered approximately in the €3–8 range, but fees and accessibility should be checked through official channels.
After the visit, you can take a lunch break in the center without adding another stop to the itinerary.
Explore the archaeological site inland and finish with the monastery and a swim at Askeli.
09:00
Temple of Poseidon
From the center, reach the inland site by taxi or scooter, allowing about 15–25 minutes of travel each way and 60–90 minutes on site. Take in the sanctuary’s setting and the archaeological remains: the site is associated with the League of Calauria and the memory of Demosthenes. For any admission, consider approximately €0–5 and check availability, the route, and entry conditions before visiting.
Bring water and sun protection: the area is exposed and services may be limited.
12:00
Zoodochos Pigi Monastery
Continue to the eastern coast with a taxi or scooter transfer of about 15–25 minutes; devote 45–60 minutes to the complex and its outdoor areas. Behave respectfully and dress appropriately, as this is a religious site; any donation or admission should be considered approximately between €0 and €5.
Check the official channels for visiting conditions and any access rules.
15:00
Askeli Beach
Get to Askeli in just a few minutes by taxi or scooter and spend the afternoon by the sea, with a walk along the shore and a chance to swim, if conditions allow. Access to the beach is generally considered free; any sunbeds, umbrellas, or purchases may cost roughly €5–20 per person, depending on services and the season.
Have lunch before or after the transfer and bring cash for any local services.
Discover the coves on the western and northern side of Poros, with stops devoted to the landscape and maritime history.
09:30
Love Bay (Limanaki Agapis)
From the center, reach the bay by taxi or scooter in about 10–20 minutes, or on foot if you want a longer walk and have checked the route. The pine forest that reaches down close to the water and the small cove invite a stop for swimming or relaxing; access should be considered free, while any services may cost around €5–15.
Bring water and beach shoes: available space and services may vary depending on the season.
12:00
Russian Naval Base (Rossikos Nafstathmos)
Head toward Neorio by taxi or scooter, allowing about 5–15 minutes from the bay, and observe from outside the remains of the structure linked to the Russian presence and local maritime history. Allow 20–30 minutes for the stop; exterior viewing is free, but do not enter fenced or private areas.
For lunch, you can stop in the Neorio area before continuing north.
15:00
Vagionia Bay
Continue toward the northern coast with a taxi or scooter transfer of about 15–25 minutes; plan at least 90 minutes to enjoy the scenery and, if the sea is suitable, take a swim. The bay is also appreciated for its peaceful setting and submerged archaeological remains, which should be viewed without removing or disturbing any artifacts. Access to the beach should be considered free; any food or equipment has variable costs, around €5–20.
Check sea conditions and arrange your return in advance, as connections may be less frequent outside the center.
