Based in Chalkidona, this itinerary explores Central Macedonia by area, reducing repetitive travel and dedicating separate days to Pella, Vergina, Thessaloniki and Edessa. The first day has an introductory pace between the town and the landscapes of the Axios Delta, while the following days alternate archaeological visits, museums and city walks. To reach the destinations outside Thessaloniki comfortably, a rental car is preferable; in the city center, however, it is best to park and continue on foot. The rates and times indicated are approximate and should be checked before departure.
