Day 1 – From the village to the coast, ending with sunset

10:00–21:00 Easy walks and short transfers

Discover the town center and the island cave, enjoy a break by the sea, and finish on the western coast.

10:00

Antiparos Chora

Spend about 1 hour and 30 minutes in the center, walking along the main street and through the alleys around Kastro, the fortified historic core. Stop for a coffee or a light breakfast: the walk is free, while a drink may cost around 3–8 €. If you are arriving from Paros, head to Pounta port and consider the ferry transfer; check updated schedules and fares on official channels.

Bring water and sunscreen: the village streets offer little shade in the middle of the day.

12:00

Antiparos Cave

From the center, reach the cave in about 15–20 minutes by car or scooter; by taxi, the fare may vary, roughly 15–25 € one way. Allow about 45–60 minutes for the route and to admire the limestone formations and historic inscriptions: access includes a long staircase and can be demanding. The possible ticket price is roughly in the 5–10 € range; check the official website for availability, access conditions, and the fee before you go.

Wear closed shoes with good grip and bring a light jacket: it can be cooler inside.

14:00

Soros Beach

Continue south for about 15–20 minutes and plan on 2 hours or more to swim and relax on the beach. The beach is a good stop for a lunch break: a meal at a nearby venue can cost roughly 15–30 € per person, depending on your choice and the season. Access to the beach is generally free; any services and refreshments are paid separately.

Bring water and check on site for the availability of shade, sunbeds, and facilities: these can vary.

19:30

Sunset at Sifneikos Gialos

Head back toward Antiparos Chora in about 15–20 minutes and walk to the coastal stretch of Sifneikos Gialos for a final 60–90-minute stroll. The west coast faces the sunset: choose an open spot along the shore and keep in mind that the time of sunset varies significantly by season. Stopping by the sea is free; a drink or aperitif at nearby venues can cost roughly 5–15 €.

Check the sunset time for your travel date and arrive a little early to find a quiet spot.

Practical tips

  • Check the official channels before departure for ferry times and fares between Pounta and Antiparos: frequency and connections may vary.
  • To follow all the stops in one day, consider a car or scooter; don’t assume taxis or buses will be available for the cave and beaches.
  • Check the official cave website for access conditions, tickets and updates, and take the stairs into account when planning.
  • Bring water, a hat, sunscreen and suitable shoes: the sun is intense and some stretches, especially near the cave, require sturdy footwear.
