Kiss Gate

How to get around
The center of Târgu Jiu and the main works of the Brâncuși Monumental Ensemble can be easily explored on foot. To reach the more outlying areas, you can use city buses, checking routes and timetables on site. Taxis and app-based ride services can be convenient, but availability varies: before you set off, check the fare or estimated cost. The train station connects the city with other places in Romania; for trains and intercity buses, it’s best to consult the latest schedules.
When to go
Spring and early autumn are pleasant times for strolling around and visiting the outdoor sculptures, with generally milder temperatures. Summer can be hot, while in winter the days are cold and sometimes snowy. In any season, check the forecast and wear comfortable shoes: visiting the Brâncuși ensemble involves quite a bit of walking.
Where to eat
