This small lake at the foot of Mount Parnitha is a pleasant natural escape, appreciated for walks and its peaceful atmosphere. It is a scenic stop away from the bustle of the coast.

Getting around
Oropos and the nearby localities are easiest to visit by car, especially if you want to explore the beaches and surroundings. Bus connections are available from Athens, but frequencies and schedules may vary: check them before you set off. The port in is where ferries depart for Eretria, on the island of Evia. If you are traveling without a car, check local connections in advance between the town center, the waterfront, and the bus stops.
