A car is the most convenient way to explore Aktio, Vonitsa, and the surrounding area, especially if you want to reach beaches and places with limited transport service. Aktion Airport, also known as Preveza Airport, is located near the area and is connected to the main destinations by road. The Aktio–Preveza underwater tunnel lets you cross the gulf, but there is a toll. Regional buses connect some destinations, although services can be limited and vary by season. If you’re traveling by bus, check timetables and connections with KTEL before setting off.
Spring and early autumn are ideal for exploring the area, with pleasant temperatures and fewer crowds.
