Getting around
Neapoli-Sykees is part of the urban area of Thessaloniki and is served by city buses operated by OASTH: check updated routes and schedules before you go. Buses are a convenient way to reach the city center, while taxis are useful in the evening or when you have luggage. In some neighborhoods the streets are steep, so getting around on foot can take a bit of effort. For specific itineraries, check which stops are closest to your accommodation.
When to go
Spring and autumn are the most pleasant times to visit the area, with generally mild temperatures and conditions suited to walking. In summer it can get very hot, especially during the middle of the day: plan visits for the morning or late evening and bring water.
